Disneyland’s ride lineup mixes decades-old classics with newer attractions built around film franchises. If you only have a day or two, these five are the ones most visitors prioritize — a mix of thrill rides and family-friendly staples.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, this trackless ride drops you into a First Order Star Destroyer sequence with life-sized sets and a faceoff with Kylo Ren. It’s one of the most popular attractions in the park, so Disney runs a virtual queue — join through the Disneyland app early in the day to get a boarding group.
Space Mountain
A 1977 indoor roller coaster that still draws lines. You ride in near-darkness through a starfield with sharp turns and drops; the enclosed track makes the speed feel faster than it is. It’s a good pick for anyone who wants a coaster but not the full outdoor exposure of other rides.
Indiana Jones Adventure
This is a rough, lurching ride through a temple set, with boulder rolls, dart traps, and Mara effects — more of a motion-simulator-on-wheels than a coaster. The queue and vehicles are heavily themed, and it’s one of the highest-rated attractions for repeat visitors.

“it’s a small world”
The 1964 boat ride through animated scenes representing countries around the world, scored by the song everyone leaves humming. It’s slow, air-conditioned, and a reliable break from standing in the sun — a standard choice for families with young kids.

Pirates of the Caribbean
The ride that inspired the film series: a gentle boat drop into a pirate-cursed grotto with animatronics, burning town, and the auction scene. It’s long, mostly shaded, and suits all ages, which makes it a good early-afternoon ride when the lines elsewhere are worst.
Good to Know
Download the Disneyland app before you go for wait times, mobile ordering, and the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance. Arrive at opening and use the first hour for the headline rides. Other strong options if time allows: the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Haunted Mansion, and Splash Mountain.
